Dear beloved readers,
It’s time for my newest segment, the thing you were all waiting for, the thing that justifies my shopaholic tendencies. Without further ado, my June favorites.
June is a weird month for me. For most of it I am deeply in my astral hell, and for the end of it, well it’s my birthday time. June was obviously a month full of ups and downs and hits and misses with my shopping. For one, I’d say never buy those keto cereal bars off of Amazon, they are the single worst thing I’ve ever tasted. But, since we are here to talk about the success I had with shopping, it’s only fair we begin with my favorite.
For the Fashion Category we have…

This floral dress from Zara I got not only on a sale, but also were on my birthday. Listen, liiiiisten, it’s hard to buy dresses online when you are not really skinny. I know first hand that sometimes I fit in a size large, sometimes a medium, and sometimes an extra large. I am also complicated with certain fits, and I was worried about this dress considering the low cut didn’t seem low on the model wearing, but with my bosoms, well, I was worried. I ordered it in extra large, and even though it is still a little too much on the lower side for me, the corset back allows you to play with the fitting more freely. Big helped me tying it up and we got it to be as tight on my body as I wanted it to, and even if he spent the rest of the day monitoring me, in case of a nip-slip, I think it’s safe to say that we both agreed I never looked better.
The week before my birthday, I have this thing that I just have this need to marinate in my existence and literally not do anything else. So while I was at it,, I decided to revisit an old favorite, and here comes our Entertainment Category, the one, the only: How I Met Your Mother.
I know what you, past watcher of HIMYM, is thinking: The ending sucked. Indeed, it did. I almost felt like I put myself through a social experiment rewatching this show, and trying to see if now knowing how it ends, I could understand how we got to it better, and in a way, I think I did. It was my first time watching the show in at least a few years and I realized something about it that just made it really special. HIMYM is those types of show that every single episode there’s a wow effect to it. Every episode is super well thought and there’s a compelling, creative, different story. I can name so many good moments in my show, and not one episode felt like “meh”, it only got better and better and yes, the ending is a brutal crash, but are we really going to ignore the fact that for the rest of it this show is legen– WAIT FOR IT –dary?! I don’t think so. It kept me entertained, happy, all warm inside, for the entirety of my pre-birthday sadness.
One thing you can expect from me is not only give you one fashion icon, but two. Last month, I called this category the Casual Fashion Category, as and much as I’ve been wearing this next item on a daily, I don’t think it is particularly casual. So we shall call it (at least for this month), the Premium Fashion Category.
The world is naturally divided in two types of people: Shoe people and Bag people. I am, by nature, a shoe girl, proudly. I was, however, on an incessant hunt for a bag that was perfect. And by that, I mean a bag for all occasions. I am not the kind of person with the patience to switch bags and move my items back and forth, so I needed the perfect bag, a bag that would replace all bags, a bag for all seasons, moods, events.
I also needed it to be budget friendly. I have owned a few luxury handbags, and as lovely and expensive as they are, that’s not what I was going for with this purchase, nor could I fit my current budget. It wasn’t a priority on my list. For this bag to be the bag, I needed it to be, first of all, a shoulder bag. And it had to be black. And it had to be small-to-medium, nothing huge, nothing crazy. I did a lot of research, until I found her.

I had never heard of the brand Ruisse before. I first spotted it on a Pinterest post, and I will have to say, I didn’t fall in love with it right away. It seemed like a risky thing to buy since, as much as this wasn’t the most expensive bag out there in the world, it still wasn’t cheap. But then, I went to their website and read their mission and vision. And these handbags are not only made out of reused leather, it’s the owner’s mission to create these until all the left over leather on Earth is used, and then the brand will simply cease to exist. Right there I knew they were committed to their project and I knew I’d have to get it. Turns out, the bag really is great! It is super cute, I think it’s a bit on the smaller side, and it kind forced me to get a card-holder instead of the chunky wallet I was looking forward to getting rid of, and it truly goes with most of the things I own. 10/10!

For my House Item I can’t Live Without, this month is of course my latest décor item, that Big gave me on my birthday. I had been bugging him about the empty space on my shelf, and instead of giving me regular flowers, he gave me LEGO flowers and let me tell you, it took me three hours total to assemble this thing. Oh my God, this was work. But they are so freaking cute it makes it all so worth it. I am obsessed with it!

I didn’t have a skincare category last month and, what a goddamn crime. I am not really in my experimenting days with skincare anymore. I don’t mess with something that is working for me. But I do love a good skincare gadget, and even though I am so happy I was able to fight off my acne almost completely, every once in a while, before Shark Week arrives, I am left with a few uninviting guests living rent free on my face. Being already a fan of SolaWave’s wands, using them literally every day, I thought it would be a good thing to get something more directly on my active acne, so for the Skincare Category, we have the Bye Acne, a three minute miracle for acne. I used on Big the other day and could really see a difference. Next time they make their way to my own face, I will be armed and ready.

And finally, for my Gwyneth Paltrow moment of the month, for the Wellness Category we have the lamest thing on Earth: Camomile Tea. Listen, I know, what a goddamn old lady. Yes, in case you forgot, I am the same person who used to come here every Saturday blasting a hangover and with so much juicy gossip it you were well fed for a whole entire month. Now, I am the person who drinks camomile tea everyday before bed because I am anxious and it makes me sleepy and I love it?! It makes me so relaxed and calm, I have one mug full of it and then, when I realize, I am passed out like a baby. And I love it.
Well beloved readers, this was it for my June favorites. July may end up being a slower month with shopping, I have a few different priorities in mind this month, but I am sure at least a little something will sneak their way into my Amazon cart and I will surely not come here empty handed next month. Stay safe, and out of trouble, but if you don’t – oh my god, tell me all about it.
